Square currently charges businesses using its mobile credit card readers, which plug into the headphone jacks of devices like iPhones and Android handsets, a transaction fee of 2.75% of the total purchase value, but PayPals card reader will levy a fee of 2.7%, the report said. A small distinction, but an important one that can help smaller businesses with thinner margins save money over the course of the year.

This is PayPals second foray into the world of brick-and-mortar, real-world transactions in a relatively short time after it got its start almost entirely in the online realm, the report said.

AmEx leapfrogs MasterCard to become No. 2 credit card brand

Do you remember a time when MasterCard was called MasterCharge? If so, you can also remember the last time that the company was smaller than American Express. That was back in the 1960s, but 2011 saw at least by some measures the old order restored.

That year, according to The Nilson Reports February edition, American Express overtook MasterCard to become the second-biggest credit card brand behind Visa when judged by the value of spending at merchants.

Youporn is one of the 100 most visited sites on the internet has become the latest victim of hackers.  The accounts that were compromised were users of the chat program on the site. The data that was accessed contained user names and passwords and were not tied directly to any of the sites financial information.  Youporn states that this chat system is actually a third party system and that their servers were not at risk.  According to an AP press report the attacker was a 17 year old living in Morocco. The hacker said he did not do it for financial gain. Regardless of the intent if you are a user of this site its best to take caution.

I love being the life of the party. However, I often find myself becoming more of the butt of the joke with the Good Score Guys due to my bad score. They always seem to be popular at all the social events. Not like I’m green with envy or anything.
